21/12/04- merry Christmass and all that festivity that passes this time of year. Hope everyones having well deserved holiday and if you're working..then hope you're getting to some well deserved gigs or having well deserved drinks or something. Arbidday played up at Lifeboat studios on saturday 18th. gig started extremely late for a gig with 6 bands performing, about 9pm or something. We were on last so by that time there was about 15 or so people left to witness this "new" arbidday. I think half of the 15 people were up onstage with us, and thanks to our mates SamC and Mel who pulled through for the cause and sung for arbidday. Even though you both only had one or two run throughs...was some damn good singing and we enjoyed the set!
Thanks to the organizer(although next time...try not being so drunk/stoned...so you can sort out bands and gear easier:P) and to carlton for having us to stay.
Well we dont actualy have any gigs planned fo Christmas or New Years, but expect a couple of shows throughout January and Arbidday have been accepted to play at Parachute 05, so we cant wait for that again! At the moment we are undediced to whether we will carry on or not as a band after our bassist leaves us for England at the beginning of Feb *wipes tears from eyes* but we'll let you know when we decide.

Until then...it's been an awesome year and you all should have a merry jolly rad fantastic super wicked Christmas and a happy wonderful slightly tipsy swingy New Year and we'll see you in 2005.

30/11/04- Finally Ive found a chance, the moment in sunshine-where i can jump on here to up date this poor lonely website! Anyway....what a busy as day/week/month/s/! Stop Drop and Rock Fest 04 weekend has just ended and it was awesome! Started off with the sat night at rockpit-this was amnazing! a good 100 extra people in the crowd compared to previous rockpit gigs. Bands were all cool and thanks heaps for coming to Whakatane.  A special thanks to Luc and Carlton who lended their gear fo the cause. You both deserve medals or to be un-cooled out. tehe. Sunday-man the weather was a good enough cause for celebration!! what a beauty day! Thanks to all these different bands that came to whakatane to play. Day went off well despite the first one done. And i was quite suprized with the turn out especially for a punk fest in Whakatane!
Arbidday played pretty good on both the sat night and sunday...well i think so anyway. It was still fun either way. Wouldnt have been obvious muck ups anyway. And really who cares if we did muck up? Everyone makes mistakes. It was a really good weekend anyway and much enjoyed the saturday night/sunday morning at cristys! *Thanks Cristys Ma and Pa* Despite the killing fireworks and Poos.
So next year when you hear of a Stop Drop and Rock Fest....make sure you come along!
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed our set...and especially JonT for starting the singalong and the others who joined in on sat night for a sing.

25/10/04-Hey its Labour Day.
so we did the recording the other day, its was kinda stink, especially on the drums side of things. Couldnt get the timing together and it didnt help having the "Dare to care" protest happening outside the window. Kinda distracting.
anyway.....theres lots happening over the next month, with stop drop and rock fest and all that promotion biz, so lets hope everyone turns up to watch arbiddays at the festival.
should be good.

8/10/04-Also i will add that Arbidday are going into the studio for RECORDING next thursday 14th!! so hopefully we produce some better stuff than our last attempts. Although this is proper recording this time, not some mini disk player or video camera recording.
*Arbidday*

8/10/04- We all had an awesome time in aucks on the weekend! plenty of shinanigans that went on! and to be in a place where there is so many gigs! is just like heaven! coming from whakatane and all....we dont tend to get that often! Anyway...we go to aucks rnd 9pm on friday nite, so had just enough time to drop stuff off and then head to edens bar to catch the show there, gutted coz we missed the bludgers and FDF because we got lost tryna find a park!  Gig was pretty packed though and everyone was having a good time.
So the next day, we rolled up at kings arm, such a nice relaxed atmosphere that afternoon, could have sat around having some quiet ones for the whole afternoon, but we had to play. and it went alright. There was a decent sized crowd, although no one really knew us so were abit hasty.  5th threat was probably my fave band of the arvo! each time i see them, i think they're awesome! i love Wicked Things, that is the most thumbs up song ever! thanks to the other bands that played and showed us up. thehe*fo' shame* and to all our mates that came despite having to run, get up early, catch busses and wag band pracs! love you!
Saturday night was PACKED out at the KA. All those good bands, together in one venue! i dont think many people could pass up that opportunity! unless they were asleep, lost or at The Battle!  Foamies were awesome as always, such energy in both their songs and performance, makes it really enjoyable to watch! Also the new 5piece with old guitarist was a ripper! Adds that extra grunt!  The bleeders were wicked aswell. Serving up their ep songs aswell as a few extras. That "feel so lonely" song is a winner. So catchy.  The crowd were quite raked up for the 2 last bands (foamies and bleeders) and during the bleeders there were many stage diving antics, some successfully diving, others not so lucky and hitting teh floor. Ow!
Go back to the places we were all staying round 4am! stayed up to 5 recaping the night as you do, then fel asleep. woke up at 9am, decided we wanted to make it home before dark. GUTTED TO MISS THE SUNDAY ARVO SHOW! but left at 12pm and headed on home.
thanks heaps to NICK for putting the AK UNDERGROUND FEST on, it was a damn cranker and hopefully it happens again in the future!
and hope arbidday is up in aucks soon.

We also now have a lyrics page!so if for some odd reason or another you wanted to know the words to our song...you can learn them now.We have writtena whole heap of new songs and are playing them on saturday! so should be good! Quite a change of sound compared to our old stuff...but its still good.!
Come and say hi, if you come to the afternoon gig at kings arm on sat! that wuld be awesome>

*Arbidday*

13/09/2004- wel we have just done some recording at practise, nothing proper (again) done with a mini disk, might get some tracks on here for all to hear, but that can happen later, when i have time and can be bothered!:D
we have a few gigs coming up, 1st one being the underground fest on 2nd oct at Kings arm, and the other at the moment is playing at the Stop Drop and Rock Fundraiser Gig at Rockpit in Whakatane on the 26th November and then the next day on the 27th at the Stop Drop and Rock Fest 04 at the Whakatane Rugby Park.
Yep and thats us until then. Chloe and Lanae have a drama assesment coming up, pity them.  Cristy and Sasha have exam leave (holidays) dont pity them.

22/08/04 - We have been quite quiet over the pass month or so, writing new songs and now have a completly NEW set list, apart from one or 2 covers we've kept. At the moment we are sorting out possible gigs, most being in auckland, and our next definate gig is coming up on the 2nd October as part of the Underground fest in Auckland! At the kings arm tavern, at 1pm. We are opening the afternoon show, so come along and see.$5, R18
Also we will be doing a few local gigs here and there.
But yes, main bit of news being we have a rarking new set list, which should not be missed!
yeah.

2/08/04- Well alot has happened over the past week or so, Arbidday played at Mount Sport Stadium on saturday night for the Rockquest BOP regionals. We played 13th! which was 2nd to last and unfortunately had abit of instrument troubles onstage which put us out of beat and messed up our 2nd song. But its ok, we had fun and it was wicked watching the others bands. I found Combat was awesome, first time ive seen them and i really like! Also Mishearted were wicked, better than when i saw them play last. 4petesake took out the top spot though and fair enough too with there catchy as songs.
Arbidday is back on track doing gigs again, we had a little quiet patch where we managed to write a few new songs, so any one who wants a band to play at their gig, we are keen!
Last but definately not least....one of the rockquest directors/judges came to find us after the show on saturday night and asked us, if we didnt mind, if it was alright if he gave our contact details to the producer of the NZ compilation cd "Punkemon" coz he really loved our song "IF I FALL". so that is some good news! We are working on getting a live recording of If I Fall onto the site soon.
patients is the key.:D
thanks
*Arbidday*
23/07/04-IN BREAKING NEWS....A FLOOD HAS HIT THE TOWN!
Arbidday have been pretty quiet over the past few months, writing new songs and changing their sound abit.
Also half of the members took off for the July holidays, so we were unable to practise. BUT we are all ready to go again for the ROCKQUEST BAY OF PLENTY REGINALS which are on next saturday 31st July @ the Mount Sport Stadium!! Starts at 8pm. So if you are around the place then come and watch all the bands playing!
good good.
This is *Arbidday* signing out. :D

ROCKQUEST REGINALS
Arbidday competed in the Coke Smokefree Rockquest on 21st June at Greerton Hall and got a whopping score of 42, so will now carry on to the Reginal Finals which will be held at MOUNT SPORT STADIUM on 31st JULY!! starts  8pm, tickets $15.
The heats went pretty well, a total of 32 bands played and 14 made it through, so come and support these 14 bands at the Reginal Finals.
thanks
*Arbidday*

18/06/04- ARBIDDAY RECORDINGS!!!!!! ARBIDDAY RECORDINGS!!!! THE VERY FIRST OF THEIR KIND! as soon as we can, we wil get some tracks up onto the site, they are kinda big files, so we are tryna compress them or whatever. Aren't properly recorded, jus taken from video footage, so its the whole "Live and raw" approach! :D
BE SURE to download one or 2 tracks when they are up, we'l send an email out to say when they are up and running to all those on the mailing list.
Good times!
*Arbidday*-2 days til rockquest heats.

24/05/04-Arbidday is not a 3 piece. ONce again, been alot of changes and ups and downs and round the corners, so we have all decided that we made mistakes and all and now have our singer back, so we are still looking for gigs around the place, have a couple in Auckland coming up i think, and rockquest is abit of a haze at the moment, breaking up and getting back together right at the wrong time of the year, has left us in doubt for rockquest, so we shall see what the future holds there.
Hardly any updates been done to the site over the past month or so, we have kinda neglected it(sorry). But as soon as we get some more gigs coming in and things start getting louder!!! we will be back on here like a blast from a rockets arse!:D
*Arbidday*

3/05/04-There has been alot of changes. Arbidday is now a 3 piece, but we are still a band and still going.
Probably wont be playing any gigs around the place until Rockquest, which we are entering. We are playing for this S.A.D.D talk at Trident High some time in the next 2 weeks, apart from that nothing planned.
So, don't smile/cry that we are now a 3 piece, handle, we are still arbidday.
thats all until we have more news.
*Arbidday*

18/04/04- The end of our line of gigs, and all went pretty well. The show in the almight Htwn last weekend, was a bit wee, but alright for a 1st in htwn. The other bands that we saw before we left Mistaken Id and Ritalin were wicked as! and thanks to Ritalin for having us to play.
Dorkfest04' last night was some good fun! best crowd response we have had for a while, with loads of people getting in there, espcially for the opening band! I loved the Mufflers, they were a highlight of the night man! Thanks to Jon and Steph for putting the show on. and Lucas for driving us all up there! that was damn kind of you, AND for letting us use your most prized possesion! you are a legend.
So yes, now we are just settling back down, getting ready for school, oo yuk. and all the rest. Hopefully get some recordings done soon, like we have promised so many times. its coming.
thanks to everyone who came to any of the gigs! we'll let you know when we are playing again.
*Arbidday*
6/04/04- One gig down and 2 to go. The "We'll Go Louder Show" went pretty well, even though the power cut out TWO times through one of our songs, it still went pretty good.
The other bands that played were wicked as, espcially Not Us, its the first time ive seen them and man they are tight! the drummer is wow too.
So, youthzone gig coming up this weekend, if you live around the area make sure you come along. Should be a good show, espcially with 21guns,the warpath, ritalin and mistaken id!
we're looking fwd to it.
*Arbidday*

23/03/04-WELL....what a past few days it has been, we have produced so many new songs that are replacing our current set list, and are all set for our mini tour, which is like a real tour but with gaps in between! haha Anyway..check out the upcoming gigs page to see when we are playing, and be sure to catch a show! As we dont do that many gigs out of town becuase we are still at school and rah de rah, becomes a mission to get out of town sometimes. Anyway...we are all really excited about the upcoming month and so far band practises at the Mckelvey residence have been very productive! so we shall hope it stays that way until our gigs!
email us arbidday@hotmail.com if you wish to ask us anything about the shows!
*Arbidday*

11/03/04- Yeah we had a performance on the music room deck at trident yesterday lunchtime. Was like a band practise with lots of people really. had fun, and the easter eggs made it happy for the crowd. yeah wasnt the music sadly. anyway...thanks to the legendary moshers(ashlee and co.) also to Ed who we shamed out.:D
more photos coming.
*Arbidday*
4/03/04-All areas in the site have been updated after so long. Even more photos are still coming.Shanks to all those people that have sent us photos to put on it of us at parachute. Also a BIG MUNGO THANKS to Martli, for your help with the Gallery page.! cheers. Well chloe, lanae, cristy and sasha are all still slaving away at school at the moment...still waiting to record but have got a few gigs in the meantime. fun times.**
*Arbidday*

23/02/04-Yeah! The Gallery page has now been updated, so stop reading this and go geez at the photos. There are many there and many more to come. We've also added a "other bands" page, so you may see you in there. A whole lot from parachute and htwn hardcore have been put up, we've got some older ones from last yr coming aswell!
Also apparently we have a rockpit gig coming up on 20th march, but i'll post more details when i get them.
cheur bro.
*Arbidday*

15/02/04-We haven't played since parachute, we have had a few band practises(one) and all is well! School is so rotten but all is well. We have heard that we can record soon! yus. There are a few gigs coming up, which if you check the shows page you will see.  Also if anyone/band is interested in playing at the almighty rockpit-whakatane then let me know..and we can jack up a show...coz whakatane gets pretty boring without them old rockpit gigs. There is also a bigger crowd developing from the locals, its very slowly coming along. Well thats about all at the moment.
Oh also...in a few days the photos from parachute will be up! oh YEAH! and we are starting a new section on the site called 'other bands' on the gallery page...which will feature alot of our photos from the 'Htwn hardcore show' on the 6th feb.
until then...go hard. cheur bro
*Arbidday*
